Meaning of the C4-02 error code:

Sharp C4-02 error code means is for the PTC unit (Primary Transfer Charge unit) heater open trouble. You can disable it through the program to use the machine, but you must replace the PTC unit if the Trouble Code is continuously displayed.

You have to reset fuser errors.

• Press the key on control panel > “#, *, c, *”
• You should be in service mode now. Type in number “14” press start.
• Then you want type subcode 01 press start.
• Then you can select ok. Then switch off the machine and turn the power back ON at the power socket and the code should reset. The machine will process for 2 minutes.

Although the error code is shown again. You must replace the PTC unit. You can disable it through the program to use the machine. Adjust the settings to ignore the PTC issue and the machine can be temporarily run. Set engine soft SW8-3 to "1" in SIM55-1. This setting disables PTC output, heater control, and error detection. After the repair is complete, set the engine soft SW8-3 to "0" on the SIM55-1.
