Here in this post, I explain about a specific problem faced by Toshiba eStudio 2303A series low capacity copier. Toshiba 2303A, 2309A and 2809A Series common Error Codes C449, C452 and C445 this problem occurs in the Fixing unit. We are sharing a few methods to fix the fuser error in Toshiba e-Studio copiers, so check them one by one until it gets solved.
Meaning of C449 Error Code:
Toshiba eStudio 2303A error C449 this problem is caused by the thermostat in the fuser section. The temperature of the fuser roller has exceeded the range of control or does not even reach the range. In some rare cases, you can solve it by a very simple process. If this happens the first time you need to reset. If you do not reset, you should check all.
How to fix C449 error code:
- You can reset the procedure as follows:
- Turn off the power switch.
- Hold and press “08” while turning on the machine (Then a test mode comes up. You are now in Service Mode).
- Press “2002” on copier starts up key and press “start” (You will get a counter and now you need to reset this), then Change the current status counter value
- Type “0” And press the start button. Then switch off the machine and back on at the power socket. You should see the printer working normally.
If code returns, the machine needs parts replaced. Check your Fixing Assemble for jammed paper, or damage to the upper roller. After you remove the Fixing unit checks the continuity of heater lamp, thermal switch and fixing assembly connector with a multimeter if it is not showing continuity you replace the part, and then you have to reset.
Some possible causes:
- Check the power voltage
- Change the thermostat.
- Check the fuser roller and lamb
- Check the connectors.
- Check the mainboard.
