Method to solve the Toner low error
The "toner low" signal indicates that the toner is empty and that you should reset the toner cartridges. Follow the steps below to reset it.
- Turn ON the printer.
- Open the cover of the printer.
- Press star (*) key and hold it for 5 seconds. (the star key is hidden. Before opening the cover, you need to find its location by pressing the “Copy” option, then you will be able to see the (*) button on your keyboard and find its location. See the image below to understand its exact location)
- A new menu will display on the screen. Choose the cartridge you want to reset,
- K= Black
- M= Magenta
- C= Cyan
- Y= Yellow
- STD= Standard Capacity Cartridge, HC= High Capacity Cartridge, SHC= Super High Capacity Cartridge.
- Select the one you want to reset.
- The Reset? the option will display on your screen, press ‘yes’. Then close the printer cover.
If the error persists even after this procedure, it is better to replace the toner cartridge.
