Error code c44 call for service in Toshiba e-Studio 206, 181, 211 and 195 |
The maintenance sign means that the copier needs to be well serviced and checked if something is to be replaced. Consumables such as drum, blade, fuser rollers, and developer are changed at such times. If you are sure that you have replaced the correct part or nothing is to be replaced, then you can proceed to clear the sign.
Meaning of the Error Code:
This problem is mostly caused by Heater abnormality after abnormality judgment: The temperature of the fuser roller has exceeded the range of control or does not even reach the range. That error code means there is over fixing temperature detection, or low fuser temperature code. Fuser codes need to be reset in the service mode. It is easy to do
As you can there are many C44 error codes. Needless to say, find your code and then replace the bad part.
How to fix the error code:
Follow this procedure to clear error code-sign:
- Press 0 and 8: You can try going into (08) mode by holding 0 and 8 while turning on the machine (Then a test mode comes up. You are now in Service Mode).
- Type 400: Once the copier starts up key in 400 and press start (You will get a counter and now you need to reset this),
- Type 0: Type 0. And press interrupts or Enter and start. Then switch off the machine and back on at the power socket. You should see the printer working normally.
If the error is still showing even after the above solutions, then you check these all things. Do not worry if you get this error, in some rare cases you can solve it by a very simple process. Follow these steps
- Check the fixing unit: check your Fixing Assemble for jammed paper, or damage to the upper roller. After you remove the Fixing unit. Check the continuity of heater lamp, thermal switch and fixing assembly connector with a multimeter, if it is not showing continuity you replace the part, and then you have to reset.
