This is a function that helps to automatically adjust toner density on the paper when copying and printing. This will help with the color accuracy and image quality. One reason a color calibration may need to take place is doing a print and copy job on heavy paper and media.
You can get in service mode by pressing:
- Press the MENU button to the left side of the LCD screen.
- Then tech COUNTER on LCD
- Tech Display Keypad
- Then press STOP (button) -> 0 -> 0 -> STOP -> 0 -> 1(on LCD).
- Now the machine will ask Input password, press the password 9272927292729272
- Tech Imaging Process Adjustment.
- Next select Graduation Adjustment.

You can see the START button Green light up, then press the Start button to print out the adjustment test pattern. If the start button is Orange, you must load either paper in Portrait direction or Ledger paper into one of the trays, and copier prints a colored sheet, you have to place it to the glass and the machine will read it. Repeat sequence 4 or 5 times, Then Press the Exit twice to bring the screen back to copy mode.
