What Does Copier Drum
how does a photocopier drum work?
The drum is a crucial part of the body of the Photocopier machine/printer. It acts as a rolling stamp and applies the Toner in the sheet of paper.  A Drum is a metal roller enclosed by a Photoconductive material. This layer is made up of Selenium, Germanium or silicon. They are semiconductors.  In light, they are conduct electricity and in dark they are good conductors.

The Drum has a key role in deciding print quality. The images or texts copied on the drum before it copies on the paper. Damaged or dented drum affects the print quality. The Copier Drums have a limited life. They can only copy a specified number of pages. After this limit, they need replacement.
