The error code sc860-00 is the failure of a hard disc. Is an initialization error. The controller recognizes that the HDD is failed. This error is shown if it has a defective HDD or the HDD is not initialized or due to broken label data.


How to solve the error SC860-00

Method 1

  • First Format the HDD. After formatting, you may lose everything stored in the document server.  You don’t need any internet connection or network connection for formatting the HDD. You can format the HDD in a few steps.


Method to format

Enter into service mode by pressing the “Yellow” button, then “806182” and then hold the 'C' button for 5 seconds. Now you are in service mode. Touch 'System SP’ on the screen. Then press '5832' and the '#' button. Now you can see many options on the screen. Select '1 HDD formatting (All)' from them and press 'Execute'. Then you will get a message of showing that the process is completed. Then turn off and ON the machine.


Method 2

  • If this didn't work for you then you have to replace the HDD.
